India’s tractor retail market recorded a strong performance in calendar year 2025, with total sales reaching 9,96,633 units, compared to 8,93,706 units in CY’24, according to FADA Research. The latest data highlights steady rural demand, higher mechanisation, and clear dominance by established tractor OEMs, led by the Mahindra Group.
The Indian tractor industry showed healthy year-on-year growth in CY’25. Improved farm activity, timely agricultural operations, and continued investment by farmers supported higher tractor purchases across regions. The market remained largely consolidated, with the top brands accounting for a major share of total volumes.

Mahindra & Mahindra’s tractor division remained the market leader in CY’25 with retail sales of 2,37,980 units. The brand strengthened its position with a 23.88% market share, improving slightly over CY’24. Strong farmer trust, a wide product range, and a deep rural reach supported its leadership.
The Swaraj division recorded 1,86,529 units in CY’25. Its market share increased to 18.72%, reflecting consistent demand for reliable and easy-to-maintain tractors. Swaraj continued to play a key role in Mahindra Group’s overall dominance.
International Tractors Limited sold 1,26,741 units during CY’25. Despite volume growth over the last year, its market share stood at 12.72%, showing stable performance amid rising competition in the tractor market.
TAFE reported 1,11,947 units in CY’25. The company held an 11.23% market share, indicating steady volumes but relatively slower growth compared to some competitors during the year.
Escorts Kubota delivered a strong performance with 1,06,482 units sold in CY’25. Its market share rose to 10.68%, driven by improved product acceptance and growing focus on modern tractor technology.
John Deere India sold 76,563 units in CY’25. The brand achieved a 7.68% market share, supported by demand for premium, feature-rich tractors among progressive farmers.
Eicher Tractors recorded 61,768 units in CY’25. While volumes improved slightly year-on-year, its market share declined to 6.20%, reflecting intense competition in the mid-range tractor segment.
CNH Industrial sold 43,356 units during CY’25. Its market share increased to 4.35%, backed by consistent demand for its tractor models across key agricultural states.
Other OEMs together accounted for 45,267 units in CY’25. Their combined market share declined to 4.54%, highlighting increased consolidation among top tractor brands.
The CY’25 tractor retail data clearly shows strong growth and consolidation at the top. The Mahindra Group continued to dominate through both its Mahindra and Swaraj brands. Escorts Kubota, John Deere, and CNH Industrial strengthened their positions, while smaller players faced pressure. Overall, the figures reflect sustained farmer confidence, steady rural demand, and ongoing mechanisation across India.
