77,214 tractors sold in June 2025, up from 71,047 units in June 2024.
Mahindra & Mahindra tops the chart with 17,518 units and a 22.69% share.
Swaraj follows with 14,286 units and 18.50% share.
Sonalika, TAFE, and Escorts show positive year-on-year growth.
Kubota records a major decline, dropping from 1,223 units to 635 units.
The Federation of Automobile Dealers Associations (FADA) has released its retail tractor sales data for June 2025. According to the data, India witnessed retail sales of 77,214 tractors in June 2025, marking an increase from 71,047 units in June 2024. This shows a steady growth in demand for agricultural machinery.
The data was compiled in coordination with the Ministry of Road Transport & Highways, using registration data from 1,386 out of 1,445 RTOs across India. However, it's important to note that data from Telangana (TS) was not included in this report.

Mahindra retained its number one position, selling 17,518 units in June 2025, which is higher than the 16,335 units sold in June 2024. However, its market share slightly dropped to 22.69% from 22.99%.
Swaraj continued to perform well, maintaining the second position with 14,286 units sold, up from 13,303 units last year. Its market share remains stable at 18.50%.
Sonalika secured third place, selling 10,136 units and showing a year-on-year increase. Its market share grew slightly to 13.13%, compared to 13.02% in June 2024.
TAFE recorded strong sales growth, moving from 8,649 units in June 2024 to 9,804 units in June 2025. Its market share rose to 12.70% from 12.17%.
Escorts Kubota showed steady performance by selling 8,443 units, an increase from 7,545 units last year. Its market share also improved to 10.93%.
John Deere sold 6,212 units, up from 5,495 units in June 2024. It now holds an 8.05% market share, compared to 7.73% earlier.
Eicher remained almost flat in performance, selling 4,698 units, only slightly up from 4,622 units last year. However, its market share dropped to 6.08% from 6.51%.
CNH also saw a rise in numbers, going from 2,865 to 3,381 units. Its market share increased from 4.03% to 4.38%.
Kubota faced the sharpest drop, selling only 635 units in June 2025, compared to 1,223 units last year. Its market share fell significantly to 0.82% from 1.72%.
All other brands combined contributed 2,101 units, improving from 1,761 units in June 2024. Their combined market share rose to 2.72% from 2.48%.

June 2025 was a strong month for the Indian tractor market, with an overall growth of over 6,000 units compared to the same period last year. Mahindra continues to dominate the segment, while brands like Sonalika, Escorts, and TAFE also saw noticeable gains. However, Kubota’s performance has sharply declined, possibly due to changing market trends or rural demand.
