Escorts Kubota Tractor Sales September 2026: Domestic Sales

Escorts Kubota sold 14,911 tractors in the domestic market in September 2026, compared with 17,803 units in the same month last year. This resulted in a 16.2% decline in domestic tractor sales.

The company attributed the year-on-year decline to the high sales base created after the GST rate reduction in September 2025. Other factors included a poor monsoon, relatively lower Kharif sowing and the shift in the festive season to October.

With major festivals such as Navratri and Dussehra falling in October this year, some tractor buyers are expected to have postponed their purchase decisions, which also affected September demand.

Exports Also Decline in September

Escorts Kubota exported 303 tractors in September 2026, compared with 464 tractors in September 2025. This represents a 34.7% year-on-year decline in exports.

As a result, the combined domestic and export sales stood at 15,214 tractors during September 2026, compared with 18,267 units in September 2025.

What Can Tractor Buyers Expect Ahead?

The tractor market could see stronger demand in the coming months as buyers enter the festive period. Navratri and Dussehra, which fall in October this year, are important purchase periods for rural customers, and many buyers are waiting for these festive days to bring home a new tractor.

The ongoing crop harvesting season and improving rural liquidity are also expected to support tractor demand. However, the high sales base created in September 2025 could continue to affect year-on-year growth comparisons in the near term.

For Escorts Kubota, the September decline therefore comes alongside a stronger overall first-half performance, with 70,879 tractors sold between April and September 2026, representing 10% growth over the same period last year.

CMV360 Says

Escorts Kubota’s September 2026 tractor sales declined 16.7% year-on-year due to a high base, weak monsoon, lower Kharif sowing and delayed festive demand. However, the company maintained positive momentum in the first half of FY2026-27, with total sales rising 10%. Upcoming Navratri and Dussehra, harvesting activity and improving rural liquidity could support tractor demand in the coming months.
