₹3,000 Additional Support for Farmers

Chief Minister Nitish Kumar announced that the state government will provide an additional ₹3,000 per year to farmers under the Chief Minister Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana. This amount will be given along with the ₹6,000 already provided under the central government’s PM Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme.

With this change, eligible farmers in Bihar will now receive a total annual benefit of ₹9,000.

Relief for Small and Marginal Farmers

The government said this decision will mainly benefit small and marginal farmers, who are facing increasing costs of seeds, fertilizers, pesticides, diesel, and farm labor. The additional amount is expected to help farmers manage farming expenses more easily and buy inputs on time.

During the budget speech, Finance Minister Bijendra Prasad Yadav said the state is actively working on Agriculture Roadmap-4.
