Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd.’s Farm Equipment Business (FEB), a key part of the Mahindra Group, reported strong tractor sales performance in January 2026, reflecting healthy demand in both domestic and export markets.

Mahindra recorded total tractor sales of 40,643 units in January 2026. This marks a 47% year-on-year growth compared to 27,557 units sold in January 2025. The growth highlights steady demand supported by favorable agricultural conditions and improving rural sentiment.
In the domestic market, Mahindra sold 38,484 tractors during January 2026. This is significantly higher than 26,305 units sold in the same month last year. As a result, domestic tractor sales registered a 46% annual growth, making it the largest contributor to the company’s overall performance for the month.
Mahindra’s export performance also showed strong momentum. The company exported 2,159 tractors in January 2026, compared to 1,252 units in January 2025. This translates into a 72% growth in exports, indicating improved demand in international markets.
For the April 2025 to January 2026 period, Mahindra’s total tractor sales reached 447,235 units, up from 364,180 units in the same period last year. This represents an overall growth of 23% year-on-year.
Domestic tractor sales during this period stood at 430,374 units, compared to 350,632 units last year, registering a 23% increase. Exports reached 16,861 units, rising from 13,548 units in the previous year, reflecting a 24% growth. Both segments contributed steadily to the company’s cumulative performance.
Commenting on the sales performance, Veejay Nakra, President – Farm Equipment Business, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd., said that strong reservoir levels supported healthy Rabi sowing. He added that expected government support and higher rural spending are likely to further boost agriculture and farm mechanisation demand in the coming months. He also highlighted the sharp rise in export volumes during January.
Overall, Mahindra’s January 2026 tractor sales results underline sustained demand, supported by positive farm fundamentals and improving market conditions in India and abroad.
