• On 16 January 2026, the government released the 32nd monthly installment of ₹1,500 each to over 1.25 crore women.

• The state transferred ₹1,836 crore directly into beneficiaries’ bank accounts at a program presided over by Chief Minister Dr Mohan Yadav in Makhan Nagar (Narmadapuram).

• Along with this, around 29 lakh women received additional benefits toward LPG cylinder refilling support (~₹90 crore).

To qualify, applicants must meet all these conditions:

• Resident of Madhya Pradesh

• Married women, including:
   • Widows
   • Divorced or abandoned women

• Age between 23 and below 60 years (age is calculated as of 1 January of the application year)
  

• Family’s combined annual income does not exceed ₹2,50,000
  

• No family member should be a government employee, income taxpayer, or pensioner under central/state government service

Women above 60 years of age receive other old-age pensions and are thus excluded from this scheme.

Important Recent Eligibility Update (2025–26)

No new registrations have been started since August 2023. Meaning the government has not reopened fresh enrolment under this scheme for over 16 months  a key update impacting potential new beneficiaries.

This is a major change from earlier years when the scheme was still expanding.
