ZF Group is showcasing its latest commercial vehicle technologies at Prawaas 5.0, the transport exhibition organized by the Bus and Car Operators Confederation of India (BOCI). The event is being held from July 9 to July 11 at the Helipad Exhibition Centre in Gandhinagar, Gujarat.

At the exhibition, the company is presenting a wide range of original equipment (OE) and aftermarket solutions designed for buses and commercial vehicles. The display focuses on key areas such as electrification, braking, chassis systems, vehicle safety, connectivity, and fleet management.

AxTrax 2 Electric Axle Takes Center Stage

One of the major highlights at the ZF pavilion is the AxTrax 2 integrated electric axle, developed for light- and medium-duty buses.

The system combines multiple components, including the electric motor, inverter, electronic control unit (ECU), actuator, and transmission, into a single axle-based package. It is designed for battery-electric buses, fuel-cell buses, and trolley buses, helping manufacturers build more efficient and compact electric bus platforms.

RL82A Front Axle for Low-Floor City Buses

ZF is also displaying its RL82A front axle system, specially designed for low-floor city buses.

The axle offers steering angles of up to 55 degrees, making it suitable for urban driving conditions where better maneuverability is important. It also features internally ventilated disc brakes, which improve braking performance and reliability for city bus operations.

Wide Range of Safety and Connectivity Solutions

Along with electrification technologies, ZF is presenting several advanced systems aimed at improving vehicle safety, passenger comfort, and operational efficiency.

The company's portfolio includes:

  • Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS)

  • Anti-lock Braking System (ABS)

  • Electronic Braking System (EBS)

  • Electronic Stability Control (ESC)

  • Electronic Controlled Air Suspension (ECAS)

  • Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS)

  • Bus Connect fleet connectivity platform

  • Dampers and other commercial vehicle components

ZF is also showcasing its modular door control systems for pneumatic and electric bus doors. These systems include features such as clamping protection, emergency door opening, and CAN-bus connectivity, enhancing both safety and ease of operation.

Aftermarket Products for Fleet Operators

Through ZF Aftermarket, the company is displaying several maintenance and service solutions for fleet operators.

These include:

  • 360-degree camera systems

  • Brake rotors

  • Brake pads

  • Brake linings

  • Power steering pumps

  • Coolants

  • Greases

These products are designed to improve vehicle performance, safety, and maintenance efficiency throughout the vehicle lifecycle.
