VST Tillers Tractors Ltd recorded strong financial and operational performance in the first quarter of the current fiscal year. The company’s profit increased 9.36% year-on-year to ₹48.73 crore for the quarter ended June, compared with ₹44.56 crore in the same quarter last year.
The company also reported growth in revenue, EBITDA and key farm equipment segments, despite supply disruptions and pressure from rising commodity costs.

VST Tillers Tractors’ revenue from operations increased 11% to ₹313.4 crore during the quarter, up from ₹282.5 crore in the corresponding period last year.
The revenue growth came despite supply-related disruptions during the quarter, highlighting continued demand for the company’s agricultural machinery and tractors.
The company’s operational EBITDA rose 7.5% year-on-year to ₹40.29 crore from ₹37.50 crore.
Despite commodity inflation putting pressure on operating costs, VST Tillers Tractors maintained an operational EBITDA margin of 12.85%. This indicates that the company was able to protect its operating performance while managing higher input costs.
Power tillers remained one of the strongest-performing segments for VST Tillers Tractors during the quarter.
The company sold 13,801 power tillers in Q1, registering 17.9% growth compared with 11,701 units sold in the same period last year. The increase reflects stronger demand for mechanisation solutions used in farming operations.
VST Tillers Tractors also recorded growth in its domestic tractor business. Domestic tractor sales increased 4.5% to 985 units during the quarter, compared with 943 units in the same period last year.
However, the company’s tractor exports declined during the quarter. Export sales fell by around 12% to 275 units from 312 units a year earlier.
Power weeders delivered another significant growth during the quarter. Sales increased 56.7% year-on-year to 3,680 units from 2,349 units in the corresponding quarter last year.
The sharp increase indicates stronger demand for compact agricultural equipment that can support farmers in weed management and other farm operations.
In contrast, power reaper sales recorded a sharp decline during Q1. The company sold only 28 units, compared with 80 units in the same period last year, representing a 65% fall.
Overall, VST Tillers Tractors delivered a positive first-quarter performance, supported by higher revenue, profit and EBITDA, along with strong growth in power tillers and power weeders. While tractor exports and power reaper sales remained under pressure, the company’s domestic tractor business continued to grow.
The results point to steady demand for agricultural mechanisation products, with power tillers and weeders emerging as key growth drivers for VST Tillers Tractors during the quarter.

Power tiller and power weeder sales remained major growth drivers, while domestic tractor sales also improved. Despite commodity inflation and supply disruptions, the company maintained a 12.85% EBITDA margin. However, tractor exports and power reaper sales declined, highlighting mixed performance across product segments.
