VE Commercial Vehicles (VECV), a joint venture of Volvo Group and Eicher Motors, has inked an agreement to deploy 500 Eicher Pro 6055 LNG trucks with Baidyanath LNG.

Nitin Gadkari, Union Minister of Road Transport and Highways, flagged off Eicher Pro 6055 LNG trucks during the opening of the B-LNG station in Nagpur.

According to the conditions of the MoU, which will be further defined in formal agreements, the establishment of the LNG fleet will assist in the expansion of the LNG station network across multiple important areas in Central India.

This will accelerate the development of the broader supply-side ecosystem, assisting the long-haul transportation market in transitioning to cleaner fuel.

Vinod Aggarwal, Managing Director and CEO of VECV, stated: "As LNG becomes a critical fuel for clean long-haul transportation, Eicher is actively collaborating with partners to deliver cutting-edge vehicles backed by superior technology. We wish Baidyanath LNG all the best as they open their latest LNG dispensing facility. This would further encourage truckers in Maharashtra to consider LNG trucks as a viable and sustainable option."

Gagandeep Singh Gandhok, EVP, HD Trucks- Sales and Marketing, VECV, stated, "Eicher's Pro 6055 LNG truck exemplifies our commitment to developing sustainable solutions that drive both innovation and efficiency. With its powerful engine technology, the Eicher Pro 6055 LNG provides the best in industry transmission and the longest LNG fuel holding duration. The Pro 6055 LNG truck, like other Eicher vehicles, is equipped with modern telemetry technologies that are linked to an industry-first uptime center, ensuring a superior client experience."

The Pro 6055 LNG truck is powered by Volvo Group's globally proven engine technology, including a VEGX8 6-cylinder engine that produces 260 horsepower at 2200 rpm and 1000 Nm of torque between 1100 and 1800 rpm.

The environmentally friendly vehicle has a range of up to 1,100 km with two tanks, ensuring long-haul efficiency, best-in-class fuel tank safety, and zero fuel theft risk. The vehicle's cutting-edge cabin, complete with HVAC and an air-suspended driver seat, provides improved comfort and increases driver productivity.

Industry-Leading Telematics and Service Network

All Eicher vehicles are linked to the industry's first Uptime Centre, which uses AI/ML technology for remote and predictive diagnostics. These vehicles, when connected to the 'My Eicher' fleet management app, provide real-time performance data.

Eicher's broad network across the country has 850 touchpoints, including 425 authorized service centers and 8,000 retail centers, as well as 240 locations for 'Eicher Site Support'.
