Eicher Trucks and Buses Sales Grow 7.3%

Eicher-branded trucks and buses recorded sales of 7,789 units in May 2026, compared to 7,258 units during the same month last year. This represents a 7.3% increase in sales.

The growth reflects steady demand across Eicher's commercial vehicle portfolio and continued momentum in the domestic market.

Domestic Market Remains the Growth Driver

In the Indian commercial vehicle market, Eicher Trucks and Buses sold 7,375 units in May 2026, up from 6,758 units in May 2025.

This translates into a 9.1% year-on-year growth, highlighting healthy demand for commercial vehicles across various applications and segments.

The domestic market remained the biggest contributor to VECV's overall sales performance during the month.

Export Sales Decline 17.2%

On the exports front, VECV recorded sales of 414 units in May 2026, compared to 500 units in May 2025.

This resulted in a 17.2% decline in export volumes. Despite the drop in overseas shipments, the company's strong domestic performance helped maintain overall growth.

Volvo Trucks and Buses Register Strong Growth

Volvo Trucks and Volvo Buses reported combined sales of 189 units in May 2026, compared to 143 units in the corresponding month last year.

This represents a 32.2% growth, making Volvo the fastest-growing segment within the VECV portfolio during the month.

The performance reflects continued demand for Volvo's premium commercial vehicle offerings in India.
