VECV is steadily expanding its electric vehicle range with advanced and category-first products. Key models include:
Eicher 2055 EV (category-first)
Eicher Skyline ProElectric buses designed for school, staff, airport, and city transport
These products are already being deployed across Indian cities and gaining popularity in staff and school transportation.

To support customers with reliable charging access, VECV has partnered with multiple Charging Point Operators. This collaboration gives Eicher EV users access to thousands of charging points across India, ensuring smooth adoption of electric mobility.
VECV is also pioneering eco-friendly manufacturing with its Industry 4.0-enabled plant in Bhopal. Key initiatives include:
AI-driven energy monitoring systems
All-women assembly line
Environmentally conscious plant design
Currently, 42% of VECV’s energy requirements are met by renewable sources, powered by a 75 MW captive solar capacity. The company has set a target to increase renewable energy usage to 70% by FY27.
In addition, the Bhopal facility features a 52-million-litre rainwater harvesting reservoir capable of supporting operations for up to four months. This step aligns with VECV’s target of becoming water-positive by 2030.
VECV’s philosophy of “Pro Planet, Pro Business” ensures that its customers benefit from solutions that are both environmentally sustainable and economically viable. This approach reflects the company’s vision to provide win-win outcomes for businesses and the environment.
VECV has a strong history of driving clean mobility. It was one of the earliest players to introduce BS-VI vehicles in 2019 and continues to innovate with alternate fuel technologies, including CNG, LNG, H2ICE, and hydrogen fuel cells, alongside its electric vehicle offerings.
Through its product innovation, renewable energy integration, sustainable manufacturing, and ecosystem partnerships, VECV aims to contribute significantly to India’s transition towards net-zero emissions.
VE Commercial Vehicles Limited (VECV) is a joint venture between the Volvo Group and Eicher Motors Limited, established in August 2008. The company’s operations include the full range of Eicher-branded trucks and buses, Volvo Buses, exclusive distribution of Volvo Trucks in India, engine manufacturing and exports for Volvo Group, non-automotive engines, and Eicher component businesses.
