VECV and Jio-bp Pulse Partner to Expand EV Charging Network for Commercial Vehicles

Key Highlights

  • VECV and Jio-bp Pulse sign MoU for EV charging network.

  • 6,000+ fast-charging points accessible nationwide.

  • First-ever integration with the My Eicher app for fleets.

  • Future depot-level charging solutions under evaluation.

  • Boosts India’s goal of zero-emission logistics.

VE Commercial Vehicles Limited (VECV), a joint venture between Volvo Group and Eicher Motors, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Jio-bp Pulse to strengthen India’s EV charging ecosystem for commercial fleets. This industry-first collaboration gives Eicher Trucks and Buses electric vehicle customers seamless access to Jio-bp Pulse’s nationwide network of more than 6,000 DC fast-charging stations, spread across highways, urban centers, and purpose-built hubs designed to support all types of commercial vehicles.

Seamless Charging Integration

A key highlight of this partnership is the first-ever integration of a public charging network into the My Eicher fleet management app. Fleet operators will now have real-time visibility of charger locations, availability, and data-driven insights to improve vehicle utilization and reduce downtime. This innovation directly addresses one of the biggest barriers to EV adoption, charging accessibility.

Strategic Collaboration for Fleet Electrification

Under this MoU, Jio-bp Pulse will leverage its fast-growing EV charging infrastructure and customized charging solutions, while VECV will provide its expertise in electric truck and bus technology. Together, the companies will actively work with fleet operators to promote electric mobility and accelerate the transition to zero-emission logistics across India.

The collaboration also extends beyond public charging. Both companies will jointly evaluate depot-level charging setups and tailor-made infrastructure projects to meet the needs of large EV fleets and bus operations, with separate agreements planned based on customer requirements.

Leaders Perspective

Vinod Aggarwal, Managing Director and CEO of VECV, said: “The MoU with Jio-bp Pulse is a major milestone in our journey to electrify trucking in India. By integrating their extensive charging network into our My Eicher app, we are eliminating a critical barrier for electric fleet adoption and enabling customers to embrace electric mobility with confidence.”

Sarthak Behuria, Chairman of Jio-bp, added: “This collaboration represents a significant step forward in transforming India’s mobility landscape. Electric mobility is central to this change, and our partnership with VECV will play a crucial role in electrifying the trucking sector and supporting the government’s EV adoption goals.
