Uber Launches UberReads Campaign on Shuttle Buses

Key Highlights:

  • Uber has launched the UberReads campaign on its shuttle buses in Delhi.
  • Riders can read popular books during their commutes.
  • The campaign runs for a month on two buses with 37 stops.

Uber has started the UberReads promotion on its shuttle buses. This month-long campaign, which will run on two buses with around 37 stops along the new routes, aims to encourage riders to read during their trips. The market response will determine the extent to which these shuttles are expanded.

The new fleet of electric Uber Shuttle buses is packed with popular novels and best-selling titles from Penguin Random House India, giving customers the opportunity to read a decent book instead of browsing through their devices on long travels.

Eco-Friendly and Convenient

The trip on these premium Uber Shuttle buses offers an eco-friendly alternative to private vehicle use. Passengers can reserve seats up to a week ahead, make payments electronically, monitor the bus’s location in real-time, and utilize a 24/7 safety support helpline.

Routes and Book Collections

The UberReads EV buses will operate on predefined routes in Delhi, connecting business districts with large residential areas. The buses feature a selection of popular Penguin titles, including fiction, biographies, self-help, and mysteries. Riders are encouraged to read a book during their journey and return it for the next passenger.

CMV360 Says

The UberReads campaign is a smart way to make commutes more enjoyable and productive. Reading a book during the ride is a nice alternative to scrolling through a phone, and the use of electric buses adds an eco-friendly touch. If the campaign proves successful, it could inspire other cities to adopt similar initiatives.
