Force Motors has launched an initiative to promote responsible end-of-life vehicle management by helping eligible customers access authorised vehicle scrapping facilities. The company has partnered with Rosmerta Auto Recycling Pvt. Ltd. to make organised vehicle scrappage more accessible in the Delhi-NCR region.

Announced in Pune on October 22, 2026, the initiative aims to encourage the safe and responsible disposal of ageing vehicles, improve the recovery of recyclable automotive materials and increase awareness about authorised vehicle scrapping.

Force Motors, India’s largest van maker and a leading automotive manufacturer, will initially focus on Delhi-NCR. The company will also explore similar partnerships in other parts of India to expand access to authorised scrappage facilities.

Force Motors Partners Rosmerta to Support Authorised Vehicle Scrappage

The partnership with Rosmerta Auto Recycling builds on the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed by Force Motors with the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH). The agreement supports the Commercial Vehicle Replacement Scheme in the Delhi-NCR region.

Through this initiative, eligible Force Motors customers will be able to access Rosmerta’s Registered Vehicle Scrapping Facility (RVSF). The arrangement is intended to make the process of retiring end-of-life vehicles easier by connecting customers with an authorised facility that follows the required scrappage procedures.

After the initial rollout in Delhi-NCR, Force Motors plans to assess opportunities to establish similar arrangements in other regions. This could help more customers access organised vehicle scrapping services and adopt responsible vehicle disposal practices.

How Will the Force Motors Vehicle Scrappage Initiative Work?

Under the arrangement, eligible Force Motors customers will be able to use Rosmerta’s Registered Vehicle Scrapping Facility to dispose of their end-of-life vehicles through an organised process.

The facility will handle the necessary vehicle documentation, de-pollution and dismantling procedures. It will also support the segregation and recovery of recyclable materials from scrapped vehicles.

Customers will receive the relevant scrappage documents, including a Certificate of Deposit (CoD), wherever applicable. These documents provide formal records associated with the vehicle scrappage process.

By improving access to authorised facilities and creating greater awareness about organised scrappage, Force Motors aims to encourage customers to retire ageing vehicles through appropriate channels rather than rely on unorganised disposal methods.

Why Is Responsible End-of-Life Vehicle Management Important?

Vehicle ownership involves more than purchasing, operating and maintaining a vehicle. Its responsible disposal at the end of its useful life is also an important part of the automotive lifecycle.

Ageing vehicles need to be retired through appropriate processes to ensure their components and materials are handled responsibly. Authorised scrappage facilities follow designated procedures for de-pollution and dismantling, while helping recover materials that can be recycled and reused.

This approach can reduce material waste and support more efficient use of automotive resources. It also helps improve awareness about the importance of choosing organised scrappage channels when a vehicle reaches the end of its useful life.

For commercial vehicle owners, access to authorised scrapping facilities can make it easier to understand the disposal process and complete the necessary documentation when replacing older vehicles.

Force Motors Focus on Sustainability and Resource Efficiency

The initiative reflects Force Motors broader commitment to responsible vehicle ownership and sustainability. The company aims to extend its resource-efficiency efforts beyond manufacturing operations and vehicle use to include the final stage of a vehicle's lifecycle.

By encouraging the recovery of recyclable automotive materials and responsible disposal of end-of-life vehicles, Force Motors intends to support better resource utilisation and reduce its environmental impact.

The partnership also highlights the role automotive manufacturers can play in improving awareness and access to organised vehicle scrappage. By connecting eligible customers with an authorised facility, the company aims to make responsible vehicle retirement a more accessible option.

What Did Force Motors Say About the Initiative?

Commenting on the initiative, Prasan Firodia, Managing Director of Force Motors Limited, said the company's responsibility extends beyond building and delivering vehicles.

He highlighted the importance of managing vehicles responsibly at the end of their useful life and explained that the initiative is intended to make authorised disposal channels more accessible to customers.

Firodia also emphasised the importance of recovering valuable materials from scrapped vehicles, describing the partnership as a practical step towards improving resource efficiency and promoting responsible practices across the automotive lifecycle.
