Tata Motors has secured a new order for 148 electric buses from the Bengaluru Metropolitan Transport Corporation (BMTC). The agreement, managed by Tata's subsidiary TML Smart City Mobility Solutions Ltd., includes the supply, operation, and maintenance of 12-metre low-floor Tata Starbus EVs over a 12-year period.

Previous Success with 921 Electric Buses

This order builds on BMTC's earlier procurement of 921 electric buses, most of which are already in operation. These Tata Electric buses have demonstrated an uptime of over 95%, reflecting their reliability and performance.
