Tata Motors, India’s largest commercial vehicle manufacturer, has expanded its passenger mobility portfolio with the launch of the all-new Tata Winger Plus 9-seater. The vehicle was unveiled in Mumbai on August 29, 2025, with an ex-showroom price of ₹20.60 lakh (New Delhi).
The new Winger Plus is designed as a premium passenger mobility solution, aimed at meeting the needs of staff transportation and the tourism segment. With a focus on passenger comfort and fleet efficiency, Tata Motors positions the Winger Plus as a vehicle that delivers both luxury and profitability for operators.
The Tata Winger Plus is powered by a 2.2L Dicor diesel engine that produces 100 hp of power and 200 Nm of torque. Built on a monocoque chassis, the vehicle ensures improved stability and safety while offering a car-like ride quality. This setup is expected to reduce driver fatigue, especially during long journeys.
Passenger comfort is at the core of the Winger Plus. Tata Motors has equipped the vehicle with several features, such as:
Reclining captain seats with adjustable armrests
Personal USB charging ports for every passenger
Individual AC vents for enhanced cooling
Wide cabin and ample legroom
Large luggage compartment for long-distance travel needs
These additions make the Winger Plus an attractive option for corporate fleets, staff transport services, and travel operators.
The new Winger Plus comes with Tata Motors Fleet Edge connected platform. This advanced system allows fleet owners to monitor their vehicles in real-time, offering features like:
Live tracking
Remote diagnostics
Fleet optimisation tools
This helps operators reduce downtime, optimise routes, and lower operating costs, making the Winger Plus a cost-efficient choice for fleet management.
At the launch, Anand S, Vice President and Head – Commercial Passenger Vehicle Business, Tata Motors, said: “The Winger Plus has been thoughtfully engineered to deliver a premium experience for passengers and a compelling value proposition for fleet operators. With its superior ride comfort, best-in-class comfort features, and segment-leading efficiency, it is designed to drive profitability while offering the lowest cost of ownership. India’s passenger mobility landscape is evolving rapidly, from staff transportation in urban centres to the rising demand for tourism across the country. The Winger Plus is built to serve this diversity, setting new benchmarks in the commercial passenger vehicle segment.”
The new Winger Plus is backed by the Tata Motors Sampoorna Seva 2.0 program. This includes:
Guaranteed service turnaround times
Annual maintenance contracts (AMC)
Assured availability of spare parts
Breakdown assistance across India
Tata Motors also offers nationwide support through its 4,500+ sales and service touchpoints, ensuring that operators have reliable after-sales support wherever they operate.
With the launch of the Winger Plus, Tata Motors further strengthens its commercial passenger vehicle portfolio, which already includes products ranging from 9-seaters to 55-seaters. The new addition highlights the company’s focus on providing modern, efficient, and comfortable passenger mobility solutions for both urban and intercity travel needs.
