Factory-fitted air conditioning for comfort.
3-year/3 lakh km warranty with Sampoorna Seva 2.0.

Tata Motors, India’s largest commercial vehicle manufacturer, has launched the all-new Tata LPT 812 in the Intermediate, Light and Medium Commercial Vehicles (ILMCV) segment. This new model marks India’s first 4-tyre truck with a 5-tonne payload, setting a new benchmark for urban haulage operations.
The Tata LPT 812 has been designed to deliver higher profitability and operational efficiency. While it carries the ruggedness of a 6-tyre truck, it offers the agility and low maintenance benefits of a 4-tyre vehicle. With factory-fitted air conditioning, it ensures comfort for drivers working long hours in city traffic.
The truck comes with multiple load body options, making it versatile for transporting industrial goods, courier consignments, fruits, vegetables, and other market loads. Tata Motors positions it as a solution that combines higher payload capacity with smooth urban operations.
Powering the LPT 812 is Tata’s trusted 4SPCR diesel engine delivering 125hp and 360Nm torque. It is paired with a 5-speed gearbox and a booster-assisted clutch that ensures smoother gear shifts and reduces driver fatigue.
Parabolic front suspension with anti-roll bar
Full S-Cam air brakes
Heavy-duty radial tyres
Tilt and telescopic power steering
These specifications provide durability, safety, and better driving comfort while handling heavy payloads in urban conditions.
Mr. Rajesh Kaul, Vice President & Business Head - Trucks, Tata Motors Commercial Vehicles, said, “The launch of the Tata LPT 812 sets a new benchmark in customer profitability. It addresses the demand for higher productivity, fuel efficiency, and ease of operations while ensuring maximum uptime.”
The truck is backed by a 3-year/3 lakh km warranty and complete lifecycle management through the Tata Motors Sampoorna Seva 2.0 program. Customers also get access to the Fleet Edge digital solution for real-time vehicle monitoring, helping reduce costs and improve uptime. With more than 3,200 service touchpoints across India, Tata Motors ensures reliable after-sales support.
The LPT 812 launch reinforces Tata Motors dominance in the commercial vehicle market, particularly in the ILMCV segment. With increasing demand for urban logistics, the company aims to offer tailored solutions that combine higher payload capacity with operational efficiency, comfort, and safety.
