Magenta Mobility has strengthened its position in India's electric mobility sector by becoming one of the leading 4-wheeler electric cargo fleet operators. The company now operates over 500 electric cargo 4-wheelers, improving urban and intercity logistics with a focus on sustainable transportation.
After successful operations in the 3-wheeler EV segment, where it serves clients like Amazon, Flipkart, and BigBasket, Magenta Mobility is now scaling up in the 4-wheeler electric vehicle category. This expansion meets the growing demand for electric vehicles in the logistics sector.
Magenta Mobility has introduced interstate logistics services along main routes, including a 180-kilometer corridor connecting Rajasthan, Haryana, and Delhi, and a 140-kilometer corridor linking Delhi, Haryana, and Uttar Pradesh. The company has also introduced a 422-kilometer round trip for intercity logistics, connecting Mumbai and Pune.
150 km Range for Long Journeys
The new 4-wheeler electric cargo vehicles offer a range of 150 kilometers per charge, enabling longer journeys compared to earlier electric vehicles that were typically limited to 100-120 kilometers per charge. This advancement supports intercity and interstate logistics, reducing carbon emissions and operational costs.
Maxson Lewis, Founder and CEO of Magenta Mobility, shared the company's vision, saying, “Our expansion into intercity and interstate logistics reflects our commitment to sustainable and efficient transportation solutions.”
The company plans to add 10,000 electric vehicles, including both 3-wheelers and 4-wheelers, to its fleet in the next financial year. Additionally, it aims to expand its operations to cities like Nashik, Nagpur, Vijayawada, Indore, and Kolkata.
Magenta Mobility began in 2018 with a mission to electrify transportation, starting as a Charge Point Operator and later moving into charger manufacturing. By 2021, it became a leader in all-electric logistics, helping shape the future of the sector.
The company's journey from EV charging to transforming logistics shows a strong commitment to sustainability. As pioneers in clean logistics, Magenta demonstrates that sustainability leads to efficiency. With each step forward, Magenta and its partners are working toward a future with electric deliveries, driving positive change along the way.
