Liebherr has made a strong impact at LIGNA 2025, one of the world’s biggest trade fairs for the timber industry. The event is being held from May 26 to May 30 in Hanover, Germany, where professionals from around the world gather to explore the latest in timber machinery and technology.
At Corner 7, Stand L44, Liebherr has set up a large 475 m² outdoor booth. Here, the company is displaying its latest high-performance timber handling machines, including:
L 580 XPower wheel loader
LH 26 M Timber Litronic material handler
T 60- 9s telescopic handler
These machines are specially designed for sawmills, timber yards, and forestry operations. They offer high fuel efficiency, advanced safety features, and powerful performance for heavy-duty timber work.
The L 580 XPower is known for its high tipping load and low fuel consumption, thanks to its power-split travel drive system.
“The machine ensures top safety,” said a Liebherr spokesperson. “It features person detection systems with both visual and sound alerts to avoid accidents.”
This machine is ideal for work in compact or narrow areas. Its wide undercarriage and rear support blade offer excellent stability and safety, even on uneven ground.
“Our design is smart and stable,” a Liebherr engineer explained. “The support blade even helps clear obstacles safely during operation.”
The T 60- 9s can lift up to six tonnes and extend up to nine metres. It features all-wheel drive for better movement and performance on tough surfaces.
“Visibility and precision are standout features,” said a Liebherr specialist. “It handles big timber loads with ease and accuracy.”
Adding excitement to the Liebherr booth, STIHL TIMBERSPORTS® athlete Florian Hägele performs four thrilling shows daily. His lumberjack skills and strength demonstrations are a big hit with visitors.
Guests can also enjoy an interactive experience by cutting their own souvenir wood slices — a fun and memorable activity for attendees.
Liebherr continues its commitment to the environment by building machines that support biodiesel and reduce harmful emissions. This supports the timber industry’s shift toward sustainable and eco-friendly operations.
