The Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) has expanded its fleet of Ambari Utsav sleeper buses by adding 20 new buses. This brings the total number of these comfortable and feature-rich buses to 40. The new buses were launched by Transport Minister Ramalinga Reddy, Health Minister Dinesh Gundu Rao, and other officials.

Enhanced Connectivity for Long-Distance Travel

The introduction of these new buses aims to improve connectivity within Karnataka and neighboring states. Designed specifically for long-distance travel, the Ambari Utsav buses have become popular since their launch in 2023. KSRTC's Managing Director, Anbu Kumar, highlighted the buses' unique features. These features make them perfect for overnight journeys.

New Routes and Interstate Connectivity

The expanded fleet will operate on major routes, connecting cities like Bengaluru, Kundapura, and Mangaluru. Direct services to Kempegowda International Airport will also be available, making travel to the airport more accessible. Additionally, the buses will provide interstate services to cities such as Nellore, Hyderabad, Vijayawada, Ernakulam, Thrissur, and Kozhikode, expanding long-distance travel options.

Comfortable and Safe Travel Experience

Each 15-meter-long bus offers a 2x1 berth configuration, allowing 40 passengers to travel in comfort. The spacious arrangement ensures that passengers can rest easily during overnight trips. Modern amenities, such as USB and C-type charging ports, are available for convenience, while a Fire Detection and Suppression System enhances safety.

Sleek Design and Efficient Performance

The buses feature Scandinavian-inspired exteriors with an aerodynamic design, providing both aesthetic appeal and fuel efficiency. Powerful halogen headlights and daytime running lights improve safety, particularly during night travel. These design elements aim to ensure a smooth and secure journey for passengers.

Superior Engine Technology for Better Efficiency

The new buses are equipped with advanced engine technology, offering superior performance and fuel efficiency. This makes them a comfortable and environmentally friendly travel option, setting high standards for state-run transportation services.
