Kinetic Green Energy and Power Solutions Ltd., a prominent electric vehicle manufacturer, has teamed up with Yuma Energy, one of India’s top Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) providers, to make electric vehicles (EVs) more accessible and practical.

Focus on Overcoming EV Adoption Challenges

This partnership is aimed at accelerating the shift to clean energy by tackling major obstacles in EV adoption, such as high upfront costs and limited charging infrastructure. Kinetic Green will provide advanced EV technology, while Yuma Energy will offer reliable and efficient battery-swapping infrastructure, ensuring a smoother customer experience.

Key Benefits of the Partnership

1. Wide Vehicle Choice: Kinetic Green will offer a range of swap-ready EVs that will integrate into Yuma Energy’s BaaS network, benefiting both fleet operators and individual riders.

2. Easy Access to Charging: Yuma Energy subscribers will have access to more than 200 battery-swapping stations, with plans for continued expansion.

3. Exceptional Service: The collaboration promises 99% uptime and sub-one-minute swap times, minimizing disruptions for users.

4. Cost-Efficiency: Battery swapping separates vehicle and battery costs, lowering upfront expenses and alleviating concerns over range anxiety and maintenance.

Initial Rollout and Future Expansion

The partnership will begin in February 2025 in Pune, with around 1,000 E-Luna EVs available for select fleet operators. The E-Luna is designed for last-mile delivery in sectors like food, groceries, and e-commerce. Over the course of the year, the deployment will expand nationally, reaching 10,000 EVs, including two- and three-wheelers.

Statements from the Leaders

Sulajja Firodia Motwani, Founder and CEO of Kinetic Green, emphasized that integrating their vehicles with Yuma’s battery-swapping ecosystem will boost EV adoption and revolutionize last-mile mobility.

Muthu Subramanian, MD & GM of Yuma Energy, highlighted that this collaboration brings together Kinetic Green’s legacy and Yuma’s technology to set new standards in affordability, reliability, and innovation.
