India’s electric three-wheeler market continued to show a mixed performance in September 2026, with different manufacturers recording significant changes in both year-on-year (YoY) and month-on-month (MoM) sales. The e-rickshaw segment saw YC Electric retain the top position, while Zeniak Innovation and Hooghly Motors also reported strong registrations. In the e-cart category, J.S. Auto led the market, while several smaller and emerging manufacturers delivered substantial annual growth.

According to Vahan Dashboard data as of October 2, 2026, covering registrations across India, the latest numbers highlight changing customer demand and increasing competition among electric three-wheeler manufacturers.

E-Rickshaw Sales Trend by OEM - September 2026

The Indian e-rickshaw market recorded varied performances among leading OEMs in September 2026. While YC Electric remained the highest-selling manufacturer, it experienced a sharp decline compared with September 2025. On the other hand, brands such as Hooghly Motors, Mahindra Last Mile Mobility, FEDE Industries and Arrow Automotive posted positive YoY growth.

E-Rickshaw Sales Performance in September 2026

YC Electric

YC Electric remained the largest e-rickshaw OEM among the manufacturers listed, registering 948 units in September 2026. However, sales declined sharply by 66% YoY from 2,792 units in September 2025. The company also recorded a 4% MoM decline from 988 units in August 2026.

Zeniak Innovation

Zeniak Innovation secured the second position with 838 units in September. The company grew 3.5% YoY compared with 810 units a year earlier. Its monthly performance was stronger, with registrations increasing 20.9% MoM from 693 units in August.

Hooghly Motors

Hooghly Motors registered 734 e-rickshaws, placing third among the listed OEMs. The company recorded a strong 78% YoY growth, rising from 412 units in September 2025. Sales also increased 1.7% MoM from 722 units.

Terra Motors India

Terra Motors India recorded 645 units in September 2026. Sales declined 5.4% YoY from 682 units and fell 6.9% MoM compared with 693 units registered in August.

Hotage India

Hotage India sold 575 e-rickshaws during September. The company witnessed a 14.9% YoY decline from 676 units. However, its sales improved 2.9% MoM over August's 559 units.

Mahindra Last Mile Mobility

Mahindra Last Mile Mobility registered 560 units in September, up from 448 units in the same month last year. This translated into 25% YoY growth. The company also posted a healthy 10.5% MoM increase from 507 units in August.

Dilli Electric Auto

Dilli Electric Auto recorded 552 units in September. The company faced a significant 49.2% YoY decline from 1,086 units in September 2025. Its MoM performance also weakened by 16.1%, compared with 658 units in August.

FEDE Industries

FEDE Industries was among the strongest monthly performers in the e-rickshaw segment. It registered 515 units, compared with 363 units a year earlier, resulting in 41.9% YoY growth. Sales also jumped 65.6% MoM from 311 units in August.

Move Stone Services

Move Stone Services registered 505 units in September. The company achieved 24% YoY growth over 408 units in September 2025. However, registrations were marginally lower by 1.4% MoM compared with August.

Arrow Automotive

Arrow Automotive recorded 505 units during September 2026. The company delivered the highest YoY growth among the listed e-rickshaw OEMs at 85%, increasing from 273 units in September 2025. It also recorded 14.5% MoM growth from 441 units in August.

Overall E-Rickshaw Market Insight - September 2026

The September 2026 e-rickshaw market presented a mixed picture. YC Electric remained the segment leader, but its registrations dropped considerably on a YoY basis. In contrast, Zeniak Innovation maintained positive growth while Hooghly Motors delivered a strong 78% annual increase.

Among the other major performers, Mahindra Last Mile Mobility, FEDE Industries and Arrow Automotive registered healthy YoY growth. FEDE Industries also recorded the strongest MoM increase at 65.6%, while Arrow Automotive achieved the highest YoY growth at 85% among the listed manufacturers.

At the same time, Dilli Electric Auto and YC Electric witnessed substantial annual declines, indicating that competition and market share within the e-rickshaw segment continue to shift.

E-Cart Sales Trend by OEM - September 2026

The electric cargo three-wheeler or e-cart segment also witnessed varied sales trends in September 2026. J.S. Auto led the listed OEMs, while Vijays Energy retained the second position. Several manufacturers, particularly newer players, recorded triple-digit YoY growth, highlighting the expanding competitive landscape in electric cargo mobility.

E-Cart OEM Performance in September 2026

J.S. Auto

J.S. Auto remained the top-performing e-cart OEM among the listed manufacturers, registering 350 units in September 2026. Sales grew 40.6% YoY from 249 units. The company also posted 9.7% MoM growth over August.

Vijays Energy Industries

Vijays Energy Industries secured the second position with 249 units. The company recorded an impressive 132.7% YoY growth, increasing from 107 units in September 2025. Sales also rose 2.5% MoM.

Energy Electric

Energy Electric registered 172 units in September. Sales declined 14% YoY from 200 units and dropped 20.7% MoM compared with 217 units in August.

Richford Allianz

Richford Allianz recorded 151 units, up substantially from 64 units in September 2025. This resulted in 135.9% YoY growth. The company also recorded a strong 43.8% MoM increase from 105 units in August.

Altier Electric Vehicles

Altier Electric Vehicles emerged as the fastest-growing e-cart OEM by YoY percentage among the listed brands. It registered 138 units, compared with just 37 units a year earlier, resulting in an impressive 273% YoY growth. Its registrations also increased 20% MoM from 115 units.

Aahana Commerce

Aahana Commerce recorded 133 units in September 2026. The company more than doubled its registrations compared with 64 units in September 2025, resulting in 107.8% YoY growth. It also posted 16.7% MoM growth from 114 units.

Mahindra Last Mile Mobility

Mahindra Last Mile Mobility registered 119 units in September. Its sales were 12.5% lower YoY compared with 136 units in September 2025. The August figure stood at 6 units; the source chart does not report a MoM growth percentage for September.

Saera Electric Auto

Saera Electric Auto recorded 111 units during September. Sales declined 42.8% YoY from 194 units and fell marginally by 1.8% MoM compared with 113 units in August.

JMT Vehicles

JMT Vehicles registered 105 units in September, matching its August figure. Compared with 55 units in September 2025, the company recorded 90.9% YoY growth. The source chart does not report a MoM growth percentage.

G.K E-Vehicles

G.K E-Vehicles recorded 99 units in September 2026. The company achieved 73.7% YoY growth, increasing from 57 units in September 2025. However, registrations declined 20.8% MoM from 125 units in August.

Overall E-Cart Market Insight - September 2026

The September 2026 e-cart market showed strong annual growth for several manufacturers. J.S. Auto remained the leader with 350 units, while Vijays Energy Industries followed with 249 units. However, the biggest growth stories came from emerging players.

Altier Electric Vehicles registered the highest YoY growth at 273%, followed by Richford Allianz at 135.9% and Vijays Energy Industries at 132.7%. Aahana Commerce also crossed the 100% YoY growth mark.

The monthly trend was equally notable, with Richford Allianz recording 43.8% MoM growth, while Altier Electric Vehicles and Aahana Commerce also posted double-digit monthly gains. In contrast, Energy Electric and G.K E-Vehicles saw notable MoM declines.
