JBM Electric Vehicles has launched its all-electric city bus, the ECOLIFE e12, at Busworld 2025 in Brussels, marking a major step in the company’s European expansion. The bus offers a 400 km range on a single charge and supports ultra-fast charging, making it a strong contender in the growing EV public transport market.

The ECOLIFE e12 is built with a lightweight monocoque stainless steel body and includes sustainable materials such as seats made from recycled materials and fabrics crafted from recycled yarn. The bus is equipped with an Intelligent Transport System compliant with EU standards and advanced telematics for real-time vehicle health monitoring.
Safety is a key focus in the ECOLIFE e12. The bus comes with JBM’s proprietary Advanced Driver-Assistance System (ADAS), along with:
Advanced Emergency Braking System (AEBS)
Forward Vehicle Collision Warning System (FVCWS)
Lane Departure Warning System
Pedestrian and cyclist collision warning
Blind spot detection
360-degree camera system
Alongside the bus launch, JBM Electric Vehicles announced its European headquarters in Frankfurt, Germany, which will manage marketing, sales, aftersales, and partnerships across EU markets.
JBM has already deployed 11,000 electric buses globally and operates one of the world’s largest integrated electric bus manufacturing facilities outside China, with a production capacity of 20,000 units per year. Over the past five years, JBM electric buses have covered more than 200 million electric kilometers, carried over 1 billion passengers, and reduced over 1 billion kilograms of CO2 emissions.

At the event, the company also showcased JBM E-Verse, its integrated EV ecosystem platform offering fast charging, lithium-ion batteries, and power infrastructure to ensure zero-downtime operations. JBM has committed to achieving Net Zero emissions by 2040.
Vice Chairman and Managing Director Nishant Arya stated that JBM aims to serve over 20 billion passengers and accumulate 3 billion electric kilometers within the next three years. The expansion supports UN Sustainable Development Goals, focusing on health, sustainable cities, infrastructure innovation, and climate action.
JBM Electric Vehicles offers a wide range of electric vehicles, including city buses, intercity coaches, luxury coaches, and specialized vehicles for schools, staff transport, and airport operations.
