India’s electric logistics sector is witnessing steady growth as companies continue to adopt cleaner mobility solutions. In a significant development, Green Drive Mobility has expanded its collaboration with Tata Motors to scale up electric cargo operations across the country.
Under the expanded partnership, Green Drive Mobility will continue deploying Tata Motors’ electric commercial vehicles across first-mile, mid-mile, and last-mile logistics operations. These services cater to enterprise customers across multiple industries, helping improve efficiency while reducing emissions.
The company has set an internal target to scale its electric cargo fleet to around 1,000 vehicles by 2028. However, this expansion will depend on factors such as market demand, customer needs, and product availability.
At present, Green Drive Mobility operates over 250 four-wheeler electric cargo vehicles. These vehicles are actively used in logistics operations across key sectors such as:
FMCG
FMCD
E-commerce
Catering
Dairy
Courier services
Bakery
The company recently strengthened its fleet by adding a new batch of Tata Ace EV units. These vehicles are now being deployed in cities like Bengaluru and Hyderabad for a multinational furnishings brand.
Hari Krishna, Founder and CEO of Green Drive Mobility, highlighted the importance of this partnership in driving long-term growth. He stated that the collaboration plays a key role in building a reliable and scalable electric logistics platform. The company aims to expand its fleet steadily while ensuring strong uptime, operational efficiency, and measurable environmental benefits.
A spokesperson from Tata Motors, heading the SCV/EV business, reiterated the company’s commitment to accelerating electric commercial mobility in India. The partnership with fleet operators like Green Drive Mobility helps extend the reach of electric vehicles across different logistics applications while supporting cleaner transportation.
Beyond cargo vehicles, Green Drive Mobility operates a diversified electric fleet that includes:
Two-wheelers
EV cabs
The company offers a complete Electric Vehicle-as-a-Service (EVaaS) model. This includes fleet deployment, charging infrastructure, technology solutions, and workforce support, making it easier for businesses to shift toward electric mobility.
The expansion of this collaboration reflects the rising demand for sustainable logistics solutions in India. As industries increasingly focus on reducing their carbon footprint, partnerships like this are expected to play a crucial role in accelerating EV adoption in commercial transport.
With a clear roadmap and strategic partnerships, Green Drive Mobility is positioning itself as a key player in India’s fast-evolving electric logistics ecosystem.
