India's tractor retail market delivered an impressive performance in June 2026, crossing the 1 lakh sales milestone for the month. According to FADA Research, total tractor retail sales reached 1,00,818 units, compared to 80,456 units in June 2025, reflecting strong year-on-year growth. Healthy agricultural activities, continued farm mechanisation, and improving rural demand helped drive higher tractor purchases across the country.
The latest retail market share data shows that the Mahindra Group continued to dominate the Indian tractor market through both its Mahindra Tractor Division and Swaraj Division. Other leading manufacturers including International Tractors, TAFE, Escorts Kubota, John Deere, Eicher, and CNH Industrial also registered higher retail sales during the month.
The Indian tractor industry witnessed one of its strongest monthly performances in June 2026. Retail sales increased by more than 20,000 units compared to the same month last year, highlighting strong demand from farmers across key agricultural regions.
Most major tractor manufacturers reported healthy growth in retail volumes. At the same time, the market became more concentrated among leading brands, while the contribution from smaller OEMs continued to decline.

Mahindra Tractor Division once again emerged as the country's largest tractor manufacturer in June 2026. The company retailed 24,327 tractors, increasing its market share to 24.13%, compared to 21.77% in June 2025. Strong demand from major farming states helped Mahindra further strengthen its leadership.
Swaraj Division continued to hold the second position with 18,860 units sold during June 2026. The brand improved its market share to 18.71%, up from 17.76% last year. Its strong presence in rural markets continued to support steady growth.
International Tractors Limited recorded retail sales of 13,184 units during the month. The company maintained its position among India's leading tractor manufacturers with a market share of 13.08%, slightly higher than 12.97% in June 2025.
TAFE retailed 12,069 tractors in June 2026. While the company registered healthy growth in sales volume, its market share stood at 11.97%, slightly lower than 12.20% recorded during the same month last year due to faster industry-wide growth.
Escorts Kubota sold 10,371 tractors during June 2026. The company secured a 10.29% market share, compared to 10.50% in June 2025. Although retail volumes increased, its share declined marginally as the overall market expanded.
John Deere reported retail sales of 7,165 units in June 2026. The company increased its sales compared to last year, but its market share slipped slightly from 7.68% to 7.11%, reflecting stronger growth by competing brands.
Eicher Tractors posted retail sales of 6,219 units, improving its market share to 6.17% from 6.04% a year earlier. The brand continued to attract farmers looking for reliable and value-for-money tractors.
CNH Industrial registered 4,667 units in retail sales during June 2026. The company improved its market share to 4.63%, up from 4.31% in June 2025, indicating stronger acceptance across various agricultural markets.
Smaller tractor manufacturers collectively sold 3,956 units, accounting for 3.92% of the market. Their combined market share declined significantly from 6.77% in June 2025, showing that leading OEMs continued to capture a larger share of the Indian tractor market.
The June 2026 tractor retail data reflects the continued strength of India's agricultural machinery industry. Crossing the 1 lakh-unit mark is a significant milestone, highlighting robust rural demand and increasing adoption of mechanised farming.
Mahindra Group maintained its clear leadership through both Mahindra Tractor and Swaraj brands. Meanwhile, International Tractors, TAFE, Escorts Kubota, Eicher, and CNH Industrial also recorded higher retail volumes, although market share movements varied across manufacturers. The sharp decline in the share of smaller OEMs further indicates that established brands are strengthening their position in the market.

The Indian tractor market started the second half of 2026 on a strong note, with retail sales crossing 1,00,000 units for the first time in months. Rising farm mechanisation, favourable agricultural sentiment, and strong rural demand continue to support industry growth. While Mahindra Group extended its market leadership, other major OEMs also reported solid sales performance, making June 2026 one of the strongest months for India's tractor industry.
