E-carts, which are primarily used for goods transportation and last-mile delivery, showed a strong performance in September 2025. The demand for e-carts continues to grow as businesses and logistics companies opt for eco-friendly solutions.
YC Electric led the e-cart sales in September 2025 with 429 units sold, reflecting a 30.4% growth compared to the previous year. However, there was a slight dip of 6.1% month-on-month (M-o-M). Despite this, YC Electric continues to be a dominant player in the e-cart market, maintaining steady growth.
Dilli Electric registered 335 units in September 2025. Although sales were slightly down compared to the previous month and year, with a 16.7% decline M-o-M and 8.8% drop Y-o-Y, the brand still holds a significant share of the market.
Energy Electric saw a growth of 37.6% Y-o-Y, selling 201 units in September 2025. The company also witnessed an 11.7% increase M-o-M, marking a positive trend and a solid performance in the growing e-cart market.
J.S. Auto sold 292 units in September 2025, showing a substantial 70.3% increase Y-o-Y. Although there was a slight dip of 4.6% M-o-M, the company’s growth compared to last year indicates strong progress in the e-cart segment.
Saera Electric registered 241 units in September 2025, with a moderate 8% increase Y-o-Y. However, the brand saw a 12.3% decrease M-o-M. Despite this drop, Saera Electric continues to hold a solid position in the market.

The e-rickshaw segment, which is crucial for passenger transportation, experienced a decline in September 2025. This trend suggests weaker demand in the passenger transport category compared to the previous months and last year.
YC Electric remained the leader in e-rickshaw sales, registering 2,792 units in September 2025. However, there was a 20.5% decline Y-o-Y and 6.7% drop M-o-M. Despite the decrease, YC Electric’s strong position in the market remains notable.
Saera Electric reported 1,257 units sold in September 2025. The brand saw a significant 45.3% decrease Y-o-Y and 31.2% decline M-o-M, indicating a slowdown in e-rickshaw demand.
Dilli Electric sold 1,086 units in September 2025. This marked a 34.5% drop Y-o-Y and an 18.7% decline M-o-M. Despite these decreases, Dilli Electric still holds a strong position in the e-rickshaw market.
Mini Metro recorded 1,032 units in September 2025. Although sales dropped 17.6% Y-o-Y, there was a slight increase of 4.6% M-o-M, indicating some improvement in recent months despite the overall decline in the segment.
Energy Electric sold 900 units in September 2025, showing a 23.3% decline Y-o-Y and an 8.8% drop M-o-M. These numbers reflect the overall slowdown in the e-rickshaw market.

September 2025’s data shows contrasting trends in the e-cart and e-rickshaw markets. The e-cart segment continues to grow, driven by increasing demand for goods transportation and last-mile delivery solutions. In contrast, the e-rickshaw market is facing a downturn, with key players like YC Electric, Saera Electric, and Dilli Electric experiencing a decline in sales both month-on-month and year-on-year.
The growth in e-carts is a positive sign for India’s transition to eco-friendly transportation, particularly in urban logistics. Meanwhile, the slowdown in e-rickshaw sales suggests a shift in the passenger transport sector’s dynamics.
