BLive, an e-mobility company based in Bengaluru, plans to add 10,000 electric vehicles to its platform this fiscal year, while also consolidating partnerships with food and e-commerce companies such as Zomato and Swiggy.
Blive, which primarily connects fleet operators and online delivery app-based businesses, presently has about 6,000 electric vehicles on its platform, including approximately 1,000 under its BLive EZY program, which allows 'anyone' to operate EV fleets that are then rented to other businesses.
In addition to boosting the number of two-wheelers on the platform, the firm intends to expand its products to include three-wheelers in order to triple revenue to Rs 100 crore by March 2026. Currently, fleet rentals are the key revenue driver, according to company officials.
BLive intends to gradually integrate food aggregators such as Zomato and Swiggy to purchase fleet vehicles to be deployed with gig economy workers as the e-commerce business grows into non-metro areas.
DNA Networks, LetsVenture, Trescon, and Mumbai Angels have invested around USD 2.5 million in the startup. The company's management is now planning an additional USD 5 million Series A investment round from current and new investors, including family offices of large corporations, micro VCs, sector-focused VCs, and strategic investors.
The company intends to use the profits from its fundraising to improve its technology infrastructure in five states, with a focus on Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad, Mumbai, and Pune.
BLive's CEO and Co-founder, Samarth Kholkar, told that the company is trying to consolidate its position in the two-wheeler rental market while also expanding into electric three-wheeler rental operations and first- and mid-mile logistics.
The company seeks to streamline and optimize all areas of fleet management by providing seamless demand generation, allowing fleet operators to maximize asset utilization across a variety of operational conditions.
According to Samarth, "This plug-and-play capability boosts fleet efficiency and revenue generation. We provide fleet operators inexpensive fleet financing and a comprehensive multi-brand EV selection, all backed by our full-stack Smart Fleet Management Solution, which enhances operational efficiency and fleet utilization."
BLive also runs a network of centralized EV Hubs that act as service and charging facilities for its fleet operators. The company already has over 70 agreements and a growing fleet operator base in five locations.
