Ashok Leyland has launched an all-new range of compact industrial engines at EXCON 2025, giving a strong push to India’s fast-growing construction, industrial, and off-highway machinery market. The new P15 and H4 Unipack engine series come with power outputs between 49 bhp and 74 bhp, fully compliant with CEV Stage V emission norms.
Held from December 9–13 at the Bangalore International Exhibition Centre (BIEC), EXCON 2025 provided the brand a perfect platform to showcase its future-ready industrial mobility solutions. The new engines are designed for better efficiency, stronger durability, and reduced operating costs.
The P15 engine is developed for small and compact machinery, including:
Skid-steer loaders
Mini compactors
Sweepers
Main features:
Lightweight design
Strong pulling performance
Improved fuel efficiency
High-speed non-emission variant
CNG option for cleaner and cost-effective operation
The H4 Unipack series (55 bhp & 74 bhp) is targeted at:
Heavy-duty construction equipment
Key capabilities:
Stable and consistent performance up to 5,500 metres altitude
Reliable operation in extreme cold
Higher efficiency and longer lifecycle

Singh said the new engines are designed to match the evolving needs of the construction and industrial sectors.
