Trimble Launches New Subscription-Based Compaction Control Technology in India

Key Highlights

  • New subscription-based compaction control in India.

  • Supports soil and asphalt works.

  • 3D technology for accurate compaction.

  • Lower cost for wider contractor adoption.

  • Available via SPRY Technocon & SITECH India Northeast.

Trimble has introduced a new compaction control setup for soil and asphalt works in India. The system is designed for highway infrastructure projects and is now available through a subscription model, making it easier and more affordable for contractors to start using advanced machine control solutions.

New Setup for Highway Projects

Trimble’s latest offering includes new, easy-to-install configurations of its Earthworks grade control platform and Roadworks paving control platform. These platforms help contractors begin work quickly with minimal setup time, making them ideal for large-scale road construction across India.

The solution combines hardware + cloud-based software, giving contractors full site management tools along with on-machine control for real-time execution on the ground.

What is Compaction Control Technology?

Compaction control technology works like an advanced GPS system fitted with smart sensors. It helps roller operators clearly see:

  • How much area has been compacted

  • Which sections still need work

This ensures proper soil and asphalt compaction without guesswork.

Trimble’s new configuration offers two major platforms:

  • Trimble Earthworks – for soil compaction

  • Trimble Roadworks – for asphalt compaction

3D Control and Easy Data Tracking

The new setup uses 3D technology to guide operators with on-screen instructions. Even less experienced operators can achieve high accuracy.

Key benefits include:

  • Easy movement of the system from one machine to another

  • Useful for contractors working on multiple sites or using rental equipment

  • Real-time monitoring of compaction productivity

  • Instant production summaries and shareable digital reports

  • Better transparency and quality assurance for large projects

This technology helps project owners verify work quality and ensures that roads are built stronger and last longer.

Statements from Leadership

Jeff Drake, Director of Civil Construction Emerging Market Solutions at Trimble, said: “Trimble is supporting India’s infrastructure growth. This new configuration is a win for contractors and project owners. Even inexperienced operators can work faster with better accuracy, ensuring long-lasting roads across the country.”

Rajan Aiyer, Vice President and Managing Director of Trimble India, added: “The solution is available at a lower cost of entry to support wider adoption. With India rapidly expanding its national highway network, we aim to help contractors work with greater efficiency, quality, and safety.”

Available in India Through Local Partners

Trimble’s new subscription-based compaction control package is now available across India through SPRY Technocon and SITECH India Northeast. These partners will support nationwide rollout and ensure quick adoption for highway and infrastructure projects.
