The central government has extended the survey date for the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Gramin (PMAY-G), giving more time for eligible people to apply. This move aims to ensure that more families can get their own houses under the scheme.

The government has extended the survey deadline for PM Awas Yojana Gramin by one month. Earlier, the last date was March 31, 2025, but now it has been pushed to April 30, 2025. This extension will help more eligible beneficiaries enroll in the scheme and receive financial aid to build their homes.
According to reports, families who were left out of the 2018 survey list and the waiting list of PM Awas Yojana are now being included. The survey is being conducted by Panchayat Secretaries, Employment Assistants, and Awas Mitras at the village level.
Homeless families
Destitute or begging families
Primitive tribal groups
Legally freed bonded labor families
Families with two-wheelers
Kisan Credit Card holders with a loan limit under Rs 50,000
Families earning less than Rs 15,000 per month
Families with less than 2.5 acres of irrigated land or less than 5 acres of unirrigated land

Families with the following criteria will not get the scheme benefits:
Owners of three-wheeler or four-wheeler vehicles
Kisan Credit Card holders with a loan limit of Rs 50,000 or more
Individuals earning more than Rs 15,000 per month
Income tax payers
Families owning 2.5 acres or more irrigated land or 5 acres or more unirrigated land

The survey for PM Awas Yojana Gramin is being conducted through the Awas Plus App 2024. It allows both self-survey and assisted surveys by pre-registered surveyors.

Enter your Aadhaar number.
Complete face authentication for identity verification.
Answer basic questions about your income and housing status.
Submit the details to check eligibility.
If eligible, your name will be included in the PM Awas Yojana Plus Survey List, and you will receive the benefits as per the scheme rules.
Urban Areas: Up to Rs 2.50 lakh subsidy for building a house on one's own land.
Rural Areas: Up to Rs 1.20 lakh in plains and Rs 1.30 lakh in hilly or inaccessible areas.
This extension of the survey deadline is expected to bring relief to many families who are still waiting for affordable housing. Eligible applicants should take advantage of this opportunity and register before the new deadline.
