Gromax Agri Equipment Marks 25 Years with New Tractor Range

Gromax Agri Equipment, formerly known as Mahindra Gujarat Tractor, is celebrating its 25th anniversary with the launch of new tractors. The company, a joint venture between Mahindra & Mahindra and the Government of Gujarat, aims to enhance farming efficiency with affordable mechanized solutions.

New Tractor Launches

Gromax has expanded its lineup with new 4WD models, the Trakstar 525 and Trakstar 536. It has also introduced new 2WD tractors in 24HP, 31HP, and 36HP, specifically designed for orchard farming. To attract younger farmers, the company has launched tractors in saffron and black, giving them a fresh and modern look.

Growth and Evolution

The company was renamed in 1999 when Mahindra & Mahindra acquired a majority stake. In 2017, it rebranded as Gromax Agri Equipment, reflecting its commitment to offering diverse and affordable farm machinery. Over the years, Gromax has expanded from just four models to over 40 tractor variants ranging from 20HP to 50HP. It sells tractors under the Trakstar and Hindustan brands and also manufactures farm implements under the Trakmate brand.

Future Vision

Hemant Sikka, President of Mahindra & Mahindra’s Farm Equipment Sector, expressed gratitude to customers, partners, the Government of Gujarat, and employees. He highlighted Gromax’s vision to continue supporting Indian farmers with modern and accessible farming solutions.

Gromax operates from Vadodara, Gujarat, with Mahindra holding a 60% stake and the Gujarat government owning 40%. With its latest innovations, the company looks forward to strengthening its presence in the Indian agricultural sector and empowering farmers with efficient machinery.
