This initiative ensures a steady water supply for irrigation throughout the year. Farmers can apply for this subsidy and benefit from the scheme to enhance their irrigation facilities.

The subsidy is part of the Balram Talab Yojana, a program by the state government's Agriculture Department. Here’s how it works:
This subsidy aims to support farmers in creating water reservoirs to improve irrigation and increase agricultural productivity.
The state government has set a goal of constructing 6,144 Balram ponds during the 2024-25 financial year, with an estimated budget of ₹5308.34 lakh.
In the 2023-24 financial year, 662 ponds were successfully built at a cost of ₹569.30 lakh.
Farmers interested in this subsidy can apply under the Balram Talab Yojana. Once their applications are approved, they will receive the necessary financial support to build a pond on their farmland.
