ATMA Project: Progressive Farmers to Receive ₹25,000 Award

The Madhya Pradesh government has invited applications from progressive farmers for the Best Farmer Award under the Agricultural Extension Reform Program (ATMA Project). Farmers can apply till September 15, 2025. Selected farmers will receive a reward of ₹25,000 from the government.

This initiative has been launched to encourage farmers to adopt modern farming technology and increase production. Farmers who wish to apply must submit their applications to their respective agriculture office before the deadline.

Prize Money for Farmers

According to the Project Director, ATMA, Farmer Welfare and Agriculture Development Department, the award will be given on the basis of activities carried out during 2024-25 and 2025-26.

  • At the district level, two farmers will get ₹25,000 each for achievements in agriculture and allied activities, based on recommendations of the evaluation committee.

  • At the block level, five farmers from each block will get ₹10,000 each.

  • Additionally, one farmer from allied departments such as horticulture, animal husbandry, fisheries, and others will also be rewarded with ₹10,000.

Who Will Get This Award?

This award will be given to those farmers who:

  • Have successfully increased production and productivity using new agricultural technologies.

  • Have adopted innovations to boost income from horticulture, animal husbandry, fisheries, and other allied sectors.

The Collector (Co-Chairman of ATMA Governing Board) and the Joint Committee will have full authority to make the final decision regarding the award.

How to Apply?

Interested farmers can collect the application form from:

  • Senior Agriculture Development Officer

  • Block Technology Manager

  • Assistant Technology Manager of each block

The filled form must be submitted at the block office by 5 PM on September 15, 2025.

Farmers can also obtain forms from departments such as horticulture, animal husbandry, fisheries, and agricultural engineering. After filling in and verifying the form from the concerned department, it should be submitted by the same deadline.

This scheme is a big opportunity for progressive farmers of Madhya Pradesh to gain recognition and financial support for their innovative farming practices.
