Designed by Japanese engineers and manufactured for Indian conditions, the MU4201 introduces premium features previously available only in Kubota’s higher 45–55 HP range. These include a flat deck, suspended pedals, balancer shaft, synchromesh transmission, and dual clutch.
The MU4201 is highly versatile, catering to diverse agricultural applications such as ploughing, tilling, and haulage, while offering smooth compatibility with implements like rotavators and disc harrows. The model is also positioned for farmers looking to upgrade from 35 HP tractors, ensuring better productivity and operational ease.
Escorts Kubota has introduced advanced Japanese ‘Pompa Lift’ hydraulic technology in the upgraded MU4501 and MU5502 models. These tractors now feature an improved lifting capacity of 1640–2100 kg and an industry-best lift height of 455 mm. With these upgrades, the models are better suited for handling heavy-duty implements such as seed drills and large rotavators.
Commenting on the launch, Nikhil Nanda, Chairman & Managing Director, said: “These new products align with our vision to establish Escorts Kubota as a formidable player in the domestic market by delivering engineering excellence and cutting-edge features. The MU4201 and upgraded models strengthen our offerings in the 41–50 HP segment.”
Akira Kato, Deputy Managing Director, highlighted the market significance: “The 41–50 HP segment accounts for almost two-thirds of India’s tractor demand. The MU4201 is designed for farmers seeking premium technology and versatility for multiple applications, including haulage.”
Adding to this, G S Grewal, Chief Operating Officer, Tractor Business Division, said: “The MU4201 is strategically targeted at farmers upgrading from 35 HP tractors. We plan to strengthen our market presence further in key states like Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Telangana, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, and Haryana.”
The MU series from Kubota is already known for fuel efficiency, durability, and reliable performance. With the launch of the MU4201 and the advanced upgrades to the MU4501 and MU5502, Escorts Kubota aims to reinforce its position in India’s competitive 41–50 HP tractor market.
The new models are also expected to complement the company’s existing offerings under the Farmtrac and Powertrac brands, giving farmers a wider choice of tractors designed for modern, efficient farming.
