The Chhattisgarh government has announced the start of online applications for subsidy on tractors and agricultural equipment under the Agricultural Mechanization Scheme. Applications will open from October 9, 2025, and farmers in the state can benefit from this scheme to purchase subsidized tractors and other modern farming tools.
The Agricultural Equipment Subsidy Scheme 2025-26, implemented by the State Seed and Agriculture Development Corporation Limited (CG State Seed & Agriculture Development Corporation Limited) under the CHAMPS system, aims to support farmers by reducing their financial burden. With this subsidy, farmers can adopt modern farming practices and increase productivity.
The state government has set certain eligibility criteria for farmers applying under this subsidy program. Key conditions include:
The applicant must be a resident of Chhattisgarh.
The farmer should have cultivable land in their name.
The applicant must not have already availed of benefits under this scheme.
The farmer’s age, family income, and other details should match the state’s set standards.
To avoid overlap, only one member per family can benefit from this scheme.
Note: These eligibility points are general guidelines. The government will release the official and complete eligibility list along with the application notice.
Farmers of Chhattisgarh can apply online by following these steps:
Visit the official website or the portal of CG Seed & Agri Development Corporation.
Fill in the application form with details such as name, address, land details, and bank account information.
Upload scanned copies of the required documents.
Review the filled details carefully before submitting.
Once submitted, you will receive an Application Number/Receipt for future reference.
It is also expected that CSC (Common Service Centres) may provide facilities for farmers to apply.
After submitting the application, the department will review and verify all entries. Selected farmers will receive approval to purchase tractors or agricultural equipment. After purchase, the farmer must submit the bill and receipt, following which the subsidy amount will be transferred directly into their bank account.
Farmers will need the following documents while applying:
Aadhaar card
Bank account details (Passbook/Statement)
Land ownership documents
Identity proof (Voter ID, Driving License, etc.)
Passport-size photo
Caste/Income certificate (if applicable)
Read the eligibility instructions carefully before applying.
Upload only clear and valid documents to avoid rejection.
Submit the form within the deadline, as late applications will not be accepted.
The selection process will remain transparent, possibly involving lottery or verification methods.
The subsidy distribution time will depend on the departmental process.
