Volvo Construction Equipment (Volvo CE) has announced a new dealer partnership with Time Equipment Pvt. Ltd to serve customers in North India. This includes regions like Delhi NCR, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh (including NCL Singrauli), and Uttarakhand.
Partnership Announced at Faridabad Event
The partnership was officially launched at the inauguration of Time Equipment’s new Head Office in Faridabad on April 21. Dimitrov Krishnan, Managing Director of Volvo CE India, and Surat Mehta, Head of Product & Retail Management, joined the directors and team members of Time Equipment at the event.
Better Customer Service and Network Expansion
Time Equipment plans to set up sales offices, parts centers, and service outlets throughout the four states as part of the partnership. They will employ over 110 people, including 20 sales executives and 60 service engineers. This move will make it easier for customers to access Volvo and SDLG machines and get after-sales support.
Growing Demand for Construction Equipment
Talking about the development, Dimitrov Krishnan said, "As India's infrastructure sector grows with the government's support, the need for construction and mining equipment will increase. Our partnership with Time Equipment will strengthen our presence in key regions."
Time Equipment’s Expansion Plans
Established in 2006, Time Equipment already operates nine offices in important cities like Faridabad, Charkhi Dadri, Karnal, Dehradun, Haldwani, Lucknow, Noida, Agra, and Anpara. They also have dedicated workshops in Faridabad and Anpara to serve customers better.
Sachin Chilana, Director of Time Equipment, shared their goal: "We aim to build a ₹600 crore business with Volvo CE by 2028."
Strong Growth in India's Construction Market
India’s construction equipment market is growing steadily, thanks to government spending on infrastructure, urbanization, and industrial development. Experts predict the sector will grow by around 7-8% annually over the next five years.
Volvo CE’s Focus on India
Volvo CE is a part of the Swedish Volvo Group. The company has been active in India for over 20 years. The company provides machines for road construction, mining, quarrying, and other major infrastructure projects. Expanding the dealer network is part of Volvo CE’s strategy to take advantage of the growing demand across different parts of India.
Infrastructure Development a Key Focus Area
This partnership comes at an important time when both central and state governments are prioritising infrastructure development. Recent budgets have allocated large funds for projects like highways, railways, and urban development, making construction equipment a high-demand sector.
