TVS SCS will provide logistics services at the Baggad site that include seamless inward operations for timely receipt of parts, efficient storage, and accurate picking of parts from defined areas following the Production Planning Control (PPC) team's needs.
Furthermore, providing parts to specified assembly lines based on the Bill of Material (BOM) would provide a consistent flow of materials and keep the manufacturing line efficient.
B Srinivas, EVP of VE Commercial Vehicles, also commented on the contract, stating, "The extension of our business opportunity to TVS SCS at our VECV Baggad plant highlights that both companies' shared commitment to achieving strategic objectives and desired outcomes, further solidifying the foundation for continued growth and operational excellence."
K Sukumar, CEO of TVS Supply Chain Solutions India, stated, "We are delighted to strengthen our partnership with VECV by expanding our services to their bus plant operations. This new contract builds on an established relationship between TVS SCS and VECV, which began in 2006 with the administration of in-plant logistics at VECV's truck manufacturing plant in Pithampur, Madhya Pradesh.
This new agreement not only improves the relationship between TVS SCS and VECV, but it also demonstrates TVS SCS's ability to provide comprehensive, end-to-end supply chain solutions that improve production efficiencies and promote the growth of their clients' businesses.
