Tresa Motors has unveiled the VO.2 electric truck, a successor to its previous model that promises to push the limits of innovation, efficiency, and dependability in the heavy-duty vehicle category. This latest generation is a big step forward in Tresa Motors' dedication to providing innovative, sustainable transportation options.
The VO.2 is an 18-ton electric truck that combines several innovative technological elements that set it apart as an industry leader. At the heart of its innovation is India's first and global leader, the Centralised Computing Unit (CCU) powered by NVIDIA GPU technology.
This technology combines the functionality of numerous Electronic Control Units (ECUs) into a single, powerful entity, streamlining truck operations and improving performance and safety using real-time analytics.
The VO.2 stands out for its effective telemetry system, which monitors over 500 data points and sends them to the cloud for continuous analysis. This provides unique visibility into the vehicle's performance, enabling continuous advancements in efficiency and dependability.
Furthermore, the truck has been equipped with 800V modular battery packs that were designed in-house and include a bespoke Battery Management System (BMS).
The charging efficiency is enhanced by its modular Meg50 battery pack, which can be customised based on payload requirements, providing an adaptable solution for various logistics needs. This innovation not only demonstrates Tresa's commitment to self-reliance but also establishes a new standard for battery efficiency and durability.
The electric truck also has a new central steering system and Tresa's proprietary Daytime Running Lights (DRLs), as well as a cutting-edge heat pump system that meets all cooling needs, including cabin air-conditioning.
The VO.2 combines not just technical prowess, but also practicality and comfort. The vehicle has a central steering system and an air-suspended seat, ensuring a comfortable ride. With a torque of 24000Nm and a top speed of 120kmph, it is intended to meet the demanding standards of e-commerce transportation, providing a dependable, environmentally friendly alternative to traditional diesel trucks.
Rohan Shravan, Tresa Motors' Founding CEO, expresses the company's mission by introducing VO.2, emphasising the truck's importance in testing and improving Tresa's revolutionary components on the road. Tresa Motors seeks to establish a position in the EV business by optimising the vehicle's heat pump, as well as its engine and battery.
