Rise of Electric Small Commercial Vehicles (e-SCVs)

The shift toward electric vehicles (EVs) is rapidly growing, both globally and in India. The Indian small commercial vehicle (SCV) and three-wheeler segment, in particular, is seeing one of the fastest transitions to electric mobility.

Spy images of the Montra Electric e-SCV test mule have surfaced, showcasing a camouflaged prototype with a red-tinted number plate registered in Tamil Nadu. The vehicle appears larger and more robust compared to existing SCV models, featuring modern design elements and production-ready construction.

With cutting-edge technology and sturdy performance, this e-SCV is expected to bring transformative changes to India’s mid and last-mile logistics sectors upon its launch.
