Today, Tata Steel achieved a big goal! They got the first batch of new, eco-friendly trucks from Tata Motors. These trucks run on green fuel, which means they're better for the environment. This is part of Tata Group's "Aalingana project" which aims to make the world cleaner and fairer for everyone.
The newly acquired fleet boasts advanced safety features such as ADAS, Electronic Stability Control, and Driver Monitoring System. These vehicles will serve various purposes including employee transport and material logistics.
Key Deliveries
The initial batch comprises Prima tractor-trailers, tippers, and the Ultra EV bus, all running on eco-friendly technologies like LNG and electric batteries. The vehicles were formally flagged off by N. Chandrasekaran, Chairman of Tata Sons, during the Founder’s Day celebrations in Jamshedpur.

T. V. Narendran, CEO & MD of Tata Steel, expressed gratitude towards Tata Motors, highlighting the shared vision for sustainability and innovation.
Girish Wagh, Executive Director of Tata Motors, emphasized their commitment to reducing carbon footprint and achieving net-zero emissions by 2045.
Proactive Approach
Tata Steel has proactively embraced cleaner transportation technologies to reduce its Scope 3 Emissions in the supply chain. This includes the deployment of EVs for the transportation of finished steel and using alternative fuels like bio-fuels and natural gas.
