  • The facility can disassemble 21,000 end-of-life vehicles annually using eco-friendly methods.
  • Re.Wi.Re. recycles vehicles of all brands and uses digital, paperless operations.
  • It already has five facilities in Jaipur, Bhubaneshwar, Surat, Chandigarh, and Delhi NCR.
  • Tata International Vehicle Applications (TIVA) leads India in trailer manufacturing with advanced engineering and custom design.

Tata Motors, India's largest commercial vehicle manufacturer, and Tata International have inaugurated a new Registered Vehicle Scrapping Facility (RVSF) in Pune. Named ‘Re.Wi.Re – Recycle with Respect,’ this facility can dismantle up to 21,000 end-of-life vehicles annually using environmentally friendly processes.

Features of Re.Wi.Re Facility

The facility, operated by Tata International Vehicle Applications (TIVA), caters to scrapping passenger and commercial vehicles of all brands. It employs advanced dismantling methods, ensuring the safe disposal of components such as tyres, batteries, and fluids, in line with the nation’s vehicle scrappage policy.

Re.Wi.Re facilities operate digitally, with paperless processes and dedicated stations for efficient recycling. This new Pune center joins five existing facilities in Jaipur, Bhubaneswar, Surat, Chandigarh, and Delhi NCR.

Leadership Remarks

Mr. Girish Wagh, Executive Director of Tata Motors, highlighted the company's commitment to sustainable practices, stating that Re.Wi.Re represents a step towards a circular economy. He emphasized the value of advanced recycling in contributing to India's sustainability goals.

Mr. Rajeev Batra, CEO of TIVA, noted the importance of addressing end-of-life vehicle management to build a cleaner and regulated ecosystem. He added that the Pune facility enhances India's capabilities in vehicle recycling.

About Tata International Vehicle Applications (TIVA)

TIVA is India's largest trailer manufacturer, with facilities in Ajmer, Jamshedpur, and Pune. The company was founded in 2005 with the goal of providing top-quality trailers to Tata Motors. After years of successful partnership with Tata Motors, the company expanded into the open market with the mission to offer India trailers of international quality.

With extensive experience in the commercial vehicle industry, TIVAPL has become the preferred choice for trailer buyers across the country. In September 2011, the company opened a large plant in Waki, Maharashtra. The plant has the capacity to produce 500 trailers each month.

This quickly helped TIVAPL become the largest trailer manufacturer in India, leaving competitors far behind. TIVAPL Trailers is one of the biggest trailer and truck body brands in India. These trailers are specially designed using modern engineering methods to meet different needs, all made at the Waki plant.

The plant is managed by skilled professionals from well-known organizations in the industry. With years of experience and a focus on quality, TIVAPL ensures that your business keeps running smoothly.
TIVAPL works closely with OEMs, transporters, and financial institutions, offering support from the early design phase to the final use of the product.
