Tata Motors has announced its commercial vehicle sales results for September 2025, reaching a total of 35,862 units, marking a 19% year-on-year (YoY) increase compared to 30,032 units sold in September 2024. This impressive growth highlights the company’s solid performance in the commercial vehicle market, both in domestic and international sales.

In the domestic market, Tata Motors sold 33,148 units in September 2025, showing a 16% increase compared to 28,631 units in September 2024. This strong growth was seen across multiple segments, with the SCV Cargo and Pickup category standing out with a significant increase.

HCV Trucks saw steady growth of 6%, reaching 9,870 units in September 2025. This reflects the continued demand for heavy-duty trucks for long-distance transportation.
ILMCV Trucks recorded a 13% increase in sales, highlighting the rising preference for versatile and fuel-efficient trucks in mid-sized commercial transport.
The Passenger Carriers segment remained stable, with only a slight increase of 0%, showing consistent demand for these vehicles.
The SCV Cargo and Pickup segment experienced the highest growth of 30%, reaching 14,110 units. This category plays a critical role in last-mile delivery and small-scale cargo transportation.
CV Exports saw an exceptional rise of 94%, underlining the growing international demand for Tata’s commercial vehicles.
