During a post-earnings call with analysts, Girish Wagh, Executive Director, stated that Tata Motors Ltd.'s connected vehicle platform, Fleet Edge, had crossed 600,000 vehicles. This achievement places Tata Motors' among the top three globally in terms of client base.
He noted that Fleet Edge now provides a lot of contextual insights to both drivers and clients regarding vehicle health, driving behavior, and overall operations, allowing them to enhance their businesses. Wagh emphasized the integration of FASTags into the platform, positioning Fleet Edge as a comprehensive solution for managing logistics operations.
Wagh stated that to continue delivering value-added alternatives, Tata Motors has built a machine learning-based model that provides drivers and owners with real-time fuel economy information. It has been dubbed 'Mileage Sarathi'.
E-dukaan, Tata Motors' online marketplace for CV spare parts, increased revenue by 3.8x while adding many more customers and retailers to the platform. "So the convenience being provided by this platform is enabling us to improve the penetration of the spare parts" Wagh stated.
"During the year, the corporation also established an online vehicle sales platform. I'm pleased to inform you that we had about 24,000 total retail vehicles on the platform, with nearly 9,000 commercial vehicles generated only by the platform. So, I believe we are making good progress in digital, and we are dedicated to boosting the rate of deployment as we move forward," the senior officials added.
