Tata Motors sales report for April Month

Key Highlights:
•    Tata Motors sold 77,521 commercial vehicles in April 2024.
•    Sales of HCV category increase to 7,875 units in April 2024.

•   Total commercial vehicle sales increased by 31% in April 2024.

Tata Motors Limited, a leading automobile manufacturer, has reported sales figures for April 2024. Tata Motors Limited sold a total of 77,521 units of commercial vehicles in April 2024 compared to 69,599 units during April 2023. 

In April 2024, the sale of medium and heavy commercial vehicles (MH&ICV) like trucks and buses within the country was 12,722 units compared to 8,985 units sold in April 2023.

In April 2024, total sales for MH&ICV Domestic & International Business, including trucks and buses, were 13,218 units compared to 9,515 units in April 2023. Let's discuss the category wise sales figures for April 2024 compared to April 2023 in detail:

Heavy Commercial Vehicles (HCV) Trucks: 7,875 units (13% Growth)

In April 2024, 7,875 units of HCV trucks were sold compared to 6,984 units sold in April 2023. There is a YOY growth of 13%.

Intermediate and Light Commercial Vehicles (ILMCV) Trucks: 4,316 units (101% Growth)

The sales of ILMCV trucks were 4,316 units in April 2024, showing a growth of 101% from April 2023. In April 2023, 2,148 units were sold in the ILMCV segment.

Passenger Carriers: 4,502 units (118% Increase)

In April 2024, there was an increase of 118% in the passenger carrier segment, with 4,502 units sold. In April 2023, 2,061 units were sold in this segment.

Small Commercial Vehicles (SCV) Cargo and Pickup: 11,823 units (15% Growth)

In April 2024, 11,823 SCV cargo and pickup trucks were sold compared to 10,314 units sold in April 2023. In this category, there is a growth of 15%.

Total Domestic Commercial Vehicle (CV) Sales: 28,516 units (33% Growth)

The domestic CV sales totalled 28,516 in April 2024, showing a 33% increase in sales from April 2023's sales of 21,507 units.

Tata Motors Export Sales April 2024

CV IB: 1,022 units (4% Increase)

The sales in the CV IB segment witnessed growth in April 2024, with 1,022 units sold, reflecting a 4% increase from April 2023's sales of 985 units.

Total Commercial Vehicle (CV) Sales: 29,538 units (31% Increase)

In April 2024, the total CV sales stood at 29,538 units, which was up by 31% from April 2023's sales of 22,492 units.
