Setco Automotive enters the suspension segment with new Load Cushion and Torque Rod Bush, expanding its commercial vehicle parts range.
Setco Automotive Expands into Suspension Segment with Two New Products

Key Highlights:

  • Setco launches Load Cushion and Torque Rod Bush for commercial vehicles.
  • Load Cushion absorbs shocks in trailers and tippers.
  • Torque Rod Bush cuts vibration and supports axle movement.
  • Follows earlier entry into engine cooling systems.
  • Setco now offers a wider parts range across global markets.

Setco Automotive Limited, known for its clutch systems in the medium and heavy commercial vehicle (MHCV) space, has announced a strategic step forward by entering the suspension components segment. The company has launched two new products, the Load Cushion and Torque Rod Bush, to strengthen its commercial vehicle portfolio. Setco has developed this component using elastic rubber with strong rubber-to-metal bonding. This design provides the cushion with excellent compressive strength and ensures a longer service life in heavy-load conditions.

Load Cushion Suspension Components

The Load Cushion is designed for use in heavy-duty vehicles like trailers, tippers, and trucks with bogie suspensions. Its main role is to absorb vertical loads and road shocks. Positioned between the chassis and axle or leaf spring assembly, it helps maintain vehicle balance and ride comfort, especially on rough roads.

Torque Rod Bush

Setco’s new Torque Rod Bush is designed for buses, trucks, and trailers. Installed at each end of the torque rod that connects the axle to the chassis, it helps absorb shocks from the road and minimizes vibrations for a smoother ride.

The Torque Rod Bush is made to handle high dynamic loads and contributes to better control over noise, vibration, and harshness (NVH). This makes it especially useful for vehicles operating in rough or off-road environments.

Focus on Broader Vehicle Solutions

Commenting on the launch, Harish Sheth, Chairman and Managing Director of Setco Automotive, said the company’s move into the suspension space follows its earlier expansion into engine cooling systems. He added that the new products reflect Setco’s long-term strategy of addressing diverse customer needs with reliable and high-quality solutions.
