Olectra Greentech Appoints KC Vora as VP for Innovation and Strategic Partnerships

Olectra Greentech Limited has appointed automotive industry veteran KC Vora as Vice President - Innovation and Strategic Partnerships, effective October 1, 2026. The appointment comes as the electric bus manufacturer continues to expand its bus manufacturing operations in Hyderabad and strengthen its technology and innovation capabilities.

In his new role, Vora will be responsible for driving the company’s technology development programmes, intellectual property (IP) management and institutional partnerships. His experience across the automotive industry, academia and regulatory ecosystem is expected to support Olectra’s focus on product development and technology-led growth.

KC Vora to Lead Innovation and IP Strategy

Vora will work towards building a stronger Innovation and Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) culture across various functions at Olectra Greentech. His responsibilities will cover areas including product design and development, manufacturing processes, sales and service operations, and technology development.

His technology-related responsibilities will also include work on fuel cell buses, as Olectra continues to explore and develop new electric and clean-mobility technologies.

Focus on Strategic Industry Partnerships

Vora will also lead Olectra Greentech’s engagement with industry associations, testing agencies and other institutional bodies. The company plans to strengthen strategic partnerships that can support technology development, testing, certification and industry collaboration.

His key focus will include building relationships with industry associations such as the Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM) and the Automotive Component Manufacturers Association of India (ACMA).

He will also work closely with major automotive testing and certification organisations, including ARAI, ICAT, GARC and NATRAX. These collaborations are expected to help Olectra strengthen its technology, testing and certification capabilities as it expands its electric bus operations.

KC Vora's Automotive Industry Experience

Before joining Olectra Greentech, Vora served as Senior Deputy Director at the Automotive Research Association of India (ARAI). His professional experience also includes roles across the automotive industry, academia and regulatory bodies.

With this background, Vora brings experience in automotive technology, testing, regulatory processes and industry collaboration. His appointment is aimed at supporting Olectra’s growing requirements in innovation, intellectual property, technology development and strategic partnerships.

The appointment comes at a time when Olectra Greentech is scaling its manufacturing operations in Hyderabad and expanding its focus on electric and alternative-energy bus technologies. Vora’s role will cover both internal innovation initiatives and external collaborations with important industry and testing institutions.
