Montra Electric Launches Super League for Auto Drivers

Key Highlights:

  • Montra Electric has launched the Montra Electric Super League (MSL) for auto drivers, featuring 10 teams of 17 riders each.
  • The tournament aims to show that electric vehicles can easily cover over 300 kilometers in a day with full charging.
  • Teams score points by driving kilometers, referring customers, and sharing testimonial videos.
  • Chola Finance, co-sponsor, will provide free education for the children of up to 68 finalists.
  • The league started on July 5 and will end with a grand finale in early September.

Montra Electric, a division of the Murugappa Group, has established the Montra Electric Super League (MSL), an event for auto drivers. This program, co-powered by Chola Finance, brings the excitement of the IPL to the streets, with 10 dynamic teams of 17 dedicated Super Auto Riders each.

MSL, co-powered by Chola Finance, is a competition with ten teams of 17 auto drivers each, to dispel prevalent myths such as range anxiety. The MSL aims to address concerns like range anxiety by encouraging participants to drive long distances with the help of top-up charging throughout the day.

This tournament brings together 170 Super Riders from throughout India, including female auto drivers, to form ten teams competing for the most kilometers covered. The team with the highest mileage wins, demonstrating that EVs can easily surpass 300 kilometers in a single day.

According to Aman Sharma, President & Business Head - Vehicle Finance at Chola Finance, "Chola is also actively working on innovative financing solutions for customers, in order to make ownership of a Montra Electric Super Auto easier for them."

Each kilometer driven by the top 14 riders of each team counts as one run, with additional runs granted for referrals that result in deliveries or live reservations, as well as high-quality customer testimonial videos.

Teams advance through a series of matches, with winners selected by total points and runs accumulated, before moving on to the quarter-finals, semi-finals, and grand final.

Chola Finance, another notable member of the Murugappa Group, has offered to provide free lifelong education to the children of up to 68 Super Riders who advance to the tournament's final stages. This Montra Electric Super League demonstrates the tournament's commitment to bettering the lives of these industrious people.

Grand Finale in September

The Montra Electric Super League started on July 5 and now it will end with a grand final in the first week of September. The winners will be honored at a special ceremony at the Montra Electric facility in Chennai.
