Maruti Suzuki's leadership shift sees Partho Banerjee taking over Marketing & Sales, emphasizing continuity and leveraging experience for growth.

Maruti Suzuki, a well-known car manufacturer, has declared some alterations in its top positions. Starting from April 1, 2024, Partho Banerjee will be leading the Marketing and Sales department. He is replacing Shashank Srivastava, the previous head.

This change is part of a broader leadership reshuffle. Banerjee, who currently serves as the Head of Service, will now also be a member of the Executive Committee. Meanwhile, Ram Suresh Akella, an Executive Officer in the Marketing Vertical, will become the new Head of Service.

Both Banerjee and Akella have been associated with Maruti Suzuki India Limited (MSIL) for over 30 years. Banerjee's journey started in 1989 after graduating from IIT Kanpur. His extensive experience spans various departments within the company.

Banerjee's career kicked off with roles in manufacturing lines and automation. His technical background from IIT Kanpur proved invaluable. He then transitioned to Marketing & Sales, working as a Product Manager for flagship brands like WagonR.
With his experience in Sales, Dealer Development, and Used Car Sales Business, Banerjee is well-prepared to take on the challenge of leading Marketing & Sales. His expertise in understanding customer expectations and communicating them to the team will be instrumental in his new role.
