Mahindra Construction Equipment (MCE), part of Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd., unveiled its latest CEV5 range at the BAUMA CONEXPO 2024 event at the India Expo Centre. This new range includes updates to the EarthMaster Backhoe Loader and RoadMaster Motor Grader, now featuring more powerful engines that meet the latest CEV5 emission standards.
Key Features of the CEV5 Range
The upgraded CEV5 range is designed to boost operator productivity with a larger and more comfortable cabin. The RoadMaster G100, with a 102 HP engine, is aimed at improving road construction efficiency.
The EarthMaster SX and SXe Backhoe Loaders, equipped with 74 HP engines, are versatile enough for various construction tasks. Mahindra also introduced the RoadMaster G80 Motor Grader, ideal for smaller contractors transitioning to mechanized equipment from manual labor and farm tractor-based graders.
Advanced Telematics for Better Fleet Management
The CEV5 range is equipped with Mahindra’s telematics system, which enhances fleet management, lowers ownership costs, and improves safety.
Uptime Service Guarantee and Expanding Network
In a customer-focused move, Mahindra launched its Uptime Service Guarantee. If a machine is down for over 48 hours, customers will receive Rs. 1,000 per day in compensation. This service will be supported by Mahindra’s broad network of over 50 authorized 3S dealerships and Saathi+ service centers across India.
Expanding Service Network and Social Initiatives
Mahindra’s service network now covers over 400 touchpoints, including 80 authorized 3S dealerships and more than 2,900 roadside assistance points across India. The company also highlighted the Mahindra Saarthi Abhiyaan, a program that provides scholarships for the daughters of truck drivers. This initiative has supported over 10,000 girls.
Dr. Venkat Srinivas, Business Head – Truck and Bus & Construction Equipment at Mahindra & Mahindra, highlighted the company’s focus on innovation and sustainability. He emphasized that the CEV5 range, developed by Mahindra’s engineers, aims to improve performance while reducing operational costs through advanced technologies like the Mahindra IMAXX telematics system.
Other Key Products on Display
In addition to the CEV5 range, Mahindra showcased other notable products like the BLAZO X 48 CLS 10x4 Tipper, BLAZO X m-DURA Tipper, and BLAZO X 28 Transit Mixer. The BLAZO X range includes a Double Service Guarantee, promising a 36-hour turnaround time and 48-hour uptime. These vehicles are designed to improve efficiency and durability for construction and transportation tasks.
Mahindra also introduced the FURIO 10 Fuel Bowser, aimed at supporting the government’s energy distribution goals through doorstep fuel delivery.
