Mahindra Group appoints Shveta Arya as Group Chief Strategy Officer from September 15, 2026, strengthening strategy, growth and long-term value creation.

Shveta Arya will become Mahindra Group CSO from September 15, 2026.
She will lead the Group Strategy Office and join the Group Executive Board.
Arya will report to Group CEO & MD Dr. Anish Shah.
She has over 23 years of experience across multiple sectors.
She previously served as Managing Director of Cummins India Limited.
The Mahindra Group has appointed Shveta Arya as Group Chief Strategy Officer, effective September 15, 2026. She will lead the Group Strategy Office, join the Group Executive Board and report directly to Dr. Anish Shah, Group CEO & Managing Director, Mahindra Group.
Arya will also become part of the Senior Management of Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. Her appointment is aimed at strengthening the group’s strategy, identifying new growth opportunities and creating long-term value across its diverse businesses.
As Group Chief Strategy Officer, Shveta Arya will work across Mahindra's portfolio of businesses to identify new growth opportunities, unlock value and build long-term strategic advantages.
She will lead the Group Strategy Office and work closely with different businesses within the group. Her responsibilities will include supporting growth, shaping strategic priorities and helping the group navigate business changes across its multiple sectors.
Commenting on the appointment, Dr. Anish Shah, Group CEO & MD, Mahindra Group, said that Arya brings more than two decades of leadership experience in business strategy and management consulting across different industries.
He added that her experience in driving growth, developing strategies and leading organisations through change will be valuable for Mahindra as it focuses on growth and long-term value creation. He also noted that her focus on constructive change and holistic progress aligns well with Mahindra's purpose.
Shveta Arya joins Mahindra Group with more than 23 years of professional experience across publicly listed multinational companies and management consulting.

Business strategy and management consulting
Before joining Mahindra Group, Arya served as Managing Director of Cummins India Limited. In this role, she was responsible for driving business growth, ensuring customer success, developing talent and building a positive, inclusive and ethical workplace culture.
Before Cummins, she led Strategy and M&A at Thomas Cook India. She also held professional roles at Kearney and Infosys, adding extensive experience in strategy, mergers and acquisitions and consulting to her career profile.
Arya holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad (IIMA). She also has a Bachelor's degree in Engineering in Information Technology from Delhi University.
Along with her professional responsibilities, she has been involved in diversity, inclusion and women's empowerment initiatives. At Cummins, she served as a programme sponsor for an initiative focused on improving the lives of girls and women in India.
